Tonight on a special Easter edition of ABC's Extreme Home Makeover, America will be introduced to the Kadzis family. Besides the beautiful home, the family will be receiving many other gifts from selfless organizations here in the Big Bend. And one gift you can't exactly put your hands on it, but you can see it. ABC 27's Abbey Phillips has the story.

Sunday night on a special edition of ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition, the nation was introduced to the Kadzis family. While many of us watched from our living rooms, the Kadzis family joined with the volunteers and organizations who made it all possible, at the Bradfordville First Baptist Church.

Tallahassee's Extreme Makeover episode moved to new date
The episode featuring the Extreme Home Makeover for the Kadzis family has been moved. The episode was originally scheduled to air Sunday April 26th but has now been moved to April 12th Easter Sunday.

Extreme Makeover family dad passes away
Early March 2nd, George Jacob Kadzis, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away. The family requests privacy during this time as they handle their grief.

Welcome Home Kadzis Family!
"All the special needs and requirements and desires of their hearts and souls are reflected in these rooms. And it's just...it's different, but it's home," Barbara Kadzis explained. Saturday concluded the Extreme Makeover Home Edition in Tallahassee. The Kadzis family spoke to the media for the first time since the project began a week ago at a press conference in the afternoon.

Extreme Makeover announces family they're going to help!
February 20th Extreme Makeover Home Edition announced the Tallahassee family they're going to help. The show's call to honor everyday heroes will help a family that has opened their hearts to those that didn't have a home. And as I found out the news came at a bittersweet time.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition family chosen
In keeping with the show's call to honor everyday heroes across America, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" travels to Tallahassee, Florida on February 20, 2009, to tell the Kadzis Family, which includes a father with cancer and five physically challenged children adopted from China, that their hurricane-damaged home will be rebuilt and modified in seven days to meet their special needs.
