Updated:

State and local emergency management officials announced April 14th that two Essential Services Centers (ESC's) will open on Tuesday in Madison and Hamilton counties to help survivors of the recent severe weather and floods.

Essential Services Centers are designed as a one-stop shop where local residents can receive information on recovery activities, state and local services, and connect to faith and community-based relief organizations.

"These centers will allow flood survivors to link up with service providers to help address any unmet needs," said Ruben D. Almaguer, State Coordinating Officer for Florida. "Our state and federal disaster teams are continuing damage assessments in the region and it is anticipated that, in time, we will be able to add FEMA disaster assistance programs in these communities as well."

The ESC's will operate from the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until further notice.

The locations are:

Madison County

Old Lee School

226 SE Lee School Avenue

Lee, Florida 32059

Hamilton County

Jasper Civic Center

1129 4th Street, SW

Jasper, Florida 32052
