MANCHESTER, Ga. (AP) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says charges have been dropped against 1 of 2 men who were being sought in connection with a shootout with GBI agents during a west Georgia drug investigation.

GBI spokesman John Bankhead says 25-year-old Deontoni Brown turned himself in late Thursday to Manchester police and was turned over Friday to the Talbot County sheriff on an outstanding escape warrant.

The other man sought in the GBI shootout, 21-year-old Darius Harris, was arrested Friday by Manchester police. Bankhead says Harris was treated for a gunshot wound to the shoulder and lodged in the Meriwether County jail.

Two others were arrested Wednesday after the shootout. Neither of the GBI agents was wounded.
