Bond set for 17 yr old arson suspect

Lakeland, GA (WTXL)--And in Lakeland, Georgia bond has been set for one of the suspects in an arson that killed a 12-year-old girl. A judge set bond at 500,000 dollars for the 17-year-old suspect.

The teen was arrested at Valdosta High School back in March. Authorities say the fire started after at least one 'home-made' explosive was thrown into the living room of the home. 12-year-old Laquinta Bowens was asleep on the couch and died in the fire. 20 year old Antonio McCutchin, 36-year-old Patricia McCutchin and a 16-year-old were also arrested in connection with the arson.
