RYE BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - Police have set up an Internet site to collect tips on the killing of a Florida convention planner in a New York hotel.
Rye Brook police Chief Gregory Austin says he's trying to make it easy for anyone with information on the July 12 killing of Ben Novack Jr. to contact investigators.
The 53-year-old son of the founder of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach was found beaten to death at the Hilton Rye Town in Rye Brook, where he had organized an Amway convention. His wife told police she found him dead when she returned to their room from breakfast.
The Web site tells viewers how to send in tips and has links to news clips on the case. It shows pictures of a missing bracelet and a broken piece from sunglasses found in the room.
