JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A former Florida State linebacker has been jailed for what his attorney is calling a prank gone awry.
Bradley Fanelon Jennings faces an aggravated assault charge in connection to the Oct. 30 incident at a Check 'n Go store. Records indicate he was released of Duval County jail on $10,003 bond Tuesday.
According to a police report obtained by The Florida Times-Union, authorities believe Jennings walked into the store wearing a white mask and black clothes. The suspect was wielding what appeared to be a shotgun and demanded money from the clerk. He later took off of his mask and said the incident was a joke. He left the store but came back later to apologize.
Jennings' attorney, Reginald Estell Jr., told the newspaper that the ordeal was a "bad-idea prank."
