3 family pit bulls attack little girl

Thomasville, GA (WTXL) -- A little girl in Thomasville has died after a pit bull attack. It happened Jan. 5th on the 100-block of Executive Drive in east Thomasville.

According to authorities the 5-year old girl named Cheyenne Peppers was playing in her front yard around 4:00pm in the afternoon. 3 dogs, all owned by the girl's family, all pit bulls, attacked the girl. Emergency personnel found the 5-year old in full cardiac arrest. She was taken to Archibold Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

In her 29-years of service, Lieutenant Murray says she has never seen as vicious an attack as the one that happened Monday. Thomasville police continue their investigation. At this point, the death looks like an unfortunate accident.
