Thomas Couny, GA (WTXL) In the wake of a deadly pit bull attack, Thomas County officials are considering a proposal that could ban the breed from the area. Thomas County Sheriff Carlton Powell plans to meet with county commissioners to propose a dangerous dog ordinance.
It would make owning a pit bull in Thomas County illegal. This proposal comes after a pit bull attack that killed 5-year-old Cheyenne Peppers a week ago. Commissioners are scheduled to meet Jan. 13th at the Thomas County Courthouse to discuss the ordinance.
