TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An upcoming speech and research contest is hoping to prepare disabled students for career opportunities.

It's sponsored by the Able Trust.

Able Trust's High School High Tech Program is growing in its success by more than doubling the number of students participating in their Speech and Research Competition this year.

The competition was developed so that students with disabilites could learn how to research topics and deliver effective presentations. Students will research and present fact-based speeches on two topics and compete in three levels of competition.

In addition to medals and small monetary prizes, these students win the exposure that places them in competitive career opportunities.

Able Trust services Florida students with a wide range of both physical and mental disabilities.
