JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Authorities are investigating after a credit card skimmer was found at a gas station in Jefferson County.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is warning residents to make sure the red security seal on the pump has not been altered or missing and to shake the card reader before swiping your card, to make sure it's the original equipment.
Authorities say if the red security seal has been tampered with or if the swiper is loose, report it immediately to the cashier and call the Sheriff’s Office at 997-2023.
