GEORGIA (WTXL) - The weather in Southwest Georgia has been a rollercoaster, but what does that mean for the peach crop?
Last year Georgia experienced similar weather patterns much like this years and last year, Georgia was expected to lose almost 80 percent of it's peaches.
Although this year, it is not expected to lose nearly as much, with only a 20 percent projected lose, many are still concerned.
Scott Utley who is the Agricultural and natural resource program coordinator, says the weather in Georgia has not caused any crop loss.
