TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An investigation determined there was no violation of Florida laws when Tallahassee city employees accepted FSU football tickets from former City Manager Rick Fernandez.

WTXL ABC 27 has obtained a copy of the report related to the city's investigation.

That investigation found that the cost of each skybox seat for the 2016 home opener against Charleston Southern was $100. If those tickets had cost just one cent more, they would have met the reporting requirement.

In the end, the investigation determined that Human Resources Director Ellen Blair and General Manager Underground Utilities Mike Tardos were not in violation of Florida Statues for accepting the football tickets.

Fernandez officially retired from his position as Tallahassee City Manager at the beginning of the year.

At the time, he was on paid suspension amid an ethics investigation. That came after allegations surfaced that Fernandez had accepted football tickets from a lobbyist.
