Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office arrests Alford woman on drug charges

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Jackson County Sheriff's Office deputy arrested an Alford woman on drug charges after noticing her pickup truck had intermittent working brake lights.

Teresa Lynn Odom, 52, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia Thursday and taken to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance on her charges.

The deputy was on routine patrol traveling south on Highway 231 when he saw her pickup truck on Highway 90.

After Odom consented to a search of the vehicle, the deputy found a silver spoon with white residue. The residue field tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.

In Odom's purse the deputy found a small plastic baggie that contained a crystallized substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
