JCSO attempting to locate man who failed to appear for jury trial

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Drug Task Force of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Neporah Trey Bowers. 

Deputies are attempting to locate Bowers after he failed to appear for his jury trial. Bowers is a black male, 6 feet and 1 inch tall with medium to stocky build. 

The task force concluded a June 2014 investigation near Greenwood, Fla., where Bowers was arrested for the sale of a substantial amount of cocaine. 

After Bowers’ arrest, a search warrant was executed, which resulted in the recovery of a large quantity of controlled substance and several thousand dollars.

After numerous firearms were discovered in the search, Bowers was additionally charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

He was also charged with Tampering with a Witness.

Bowers has contacts and past residences in Jackson County, south Alabama, south Georgia, and as well as south-central Florida. His case was recently adopted by the U.S. Marshal Task Force on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office.
