JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Beginning on Tuesday, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office will collect supplies to send to neighbors in need.

Items needed include water; non-perishable food; baby diapers, baby wipes, baby formula/food; personal hygiene products for men, women and children; flashlights with batteries; and bug spray, according to a sheriff's department Facebook post.

"If you can box up the items, it would greatly help us," the post said.

The collection trailer will be open weekdays from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. in front of the Sheriff’s Office at 171 Industrial Park.

Donors are asked to lease place the boxes in the trailer.

"...We will distribute the items as we travel to the devastated areas," the post said.

"We will continue collecting donations as long as there is a need and we will update the list as the needs change. Thank you Jefferson County!"
