TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County is celebrating authors living in the community, and you're invited to join.

WTXL ABC's Jada Williams was live Thursday morning with details on how the county is celebrating these authors.

Leon County Government is proud to announce the return of the Booked for Lunch program on Thursday, September 20, at 12:15 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library, 200 W. Park Ave.

This bi-monthly program will feature local writers discussing their works, craft and process.

The Booked for Lunch program is funded by lifelong library supporter and civic leader Walli Beall, who has been an avid supporter of the library for decades.

As the first Booked for Lunch presenter, Beall will discuss her book The Seasons of Goodwood: the Unfolding Story of a Treasured Southern Mansion as Home. She will be joined by Virginia Perkins, author of Ida's Story: Life in Mid to Late 19th Century Tallahassee.
