One hospitalized in serious condition after scooter-involved crash

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -  Tallahassee Police are investigating after a scooter and a car got into a crash on West Pensacola Street Tuesday morning. 

They say an eastbound traffic lane was closed between Dupree Street and Cactus Street. Westbound lanes were also closed and a detour was in place.

Police have since opened up all blocked lanes.

TPD says the crash between a scooter and a car happened at 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

A scooter driver was hospitalized with serious injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the car was uninjured.

TPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 to speak to a TPD Traffic Homicide Investigator.

They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
