FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Rock By the Sea kicked off its annual fall fundraising event on Thursday.

The music festival lasts through Sunday and features artists like Steve Everett, The Currys, and American Idol contestant Christian Lopez.

It's at Harry A's Restaurant and Bar on St. George Island, and proceeds benefit organizations like the Franklin County Public Library, Music as a Second Language, and Camp Sunshine.

"I got involved because it was such a good group of people and they were all singular focused on having a good time and helping other people in any way they could, so its kind of a contagious environment you definitely want to be apart of it once you come down here and experience it," said Steve Everett, Vice President of Rock By the Sea.

Rock by the Sea also holds a golf tournament called Rock by the Tee.

That starts Friday at 9 a.m. at the St. James Bay Golf Club.
