THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - Police are warning residents after receiving reports that scammers were selling "home theater systems" that turned out to be empty boxes.
The Thomasville Police Department says they have received word about a group of men selling home theater systems that appear to be intact, but are actually empty boxes.
Police warn you not to buy products like this on the street and are asking people to spread the word with family and friends.
If you run into people who are doing this, you are asked to call 911.
