TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - In the big bend area more than 700 people are suffering from Parkinson's Disease.

But a good portion of those people do not receive treatment or support for the condition.

To help change that a seminar was held on Wednesday, by Sweat Therapy Fitness providing workouts for those fighting Parkinson's Disease.

WTXL spoke with the Owner of Sweat Therapy Fitness about the overall impact this event will have to the community.

"We wanted to be able to give back to our community. That's one of our biggest missions here, and so we wanted to provide something for those with Parkinson's Disease. And we've just seen it, everyday, changing, enhance those people with lives. People that we're in wheelchairs and on walkers are now not having to use those," said Kim Bibeau.

Sweat Therapy Fitness hosts biannual educational seminars to provide additional resources and information to those with Parkinson's and their caregivers.
