TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A third suspect has been charged in connection to a home invasion robbery from December 2017.

Jarod Malik Hill is charged with home invasion robbery with a deadly weapon.

Court documents show an acquaintance of the victim, Elizabeth Atkinson, set up the robbery and told the victim to allow the armed suspects to come inside the White Drive home on Dec. 5.

The armed suspects yelled at the victim to get on the floor. One suspect carried an AK-style assault rifle and the other a shotgun.

Atkinson and Joseph Gagel were previously arrested.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two Tallahassee residents, a woman and a man, have been arrested for a home invasion robbery that also involved a third suspect.

Greer Elizabeth Atkinson, 18, was released from the Leon County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond after her arrest Tuesday.

She and Joseph Dean Gagel, 18, both face a charge of robbing a home with a firearm.

Gagel, arrested Wednesday, remained in jail Thursday morning.

Atkinson, an acquaintance of the victim, set up the robbery and fled with the two armed male suspects afterward, according to a probable cause affidavit.

On Dec. 15, 2017, Atkinson arrived at the victim's home, apparently alone, and the victim and Atkinson entered his apartment to smoke marijuana and drink.

After 20 minutes, Atkinson went to the restroom and left her cell phone on a countertop in the victim's residence.

The victim said he saw a phone message that read "Let them in." When he asked Atkinson about the message, she said her best friend was waiting in Atkinson's vehicle outside.

Atkinson opened the door. Two masked and armed suspects entered the home, the court document said, and yelled at the victim to lay on the floor. One suspect carried an AK-style assault rifle and the other a shotgun.

While one armed suspect held the victim at gunpoint, Atkinson went with the other suspect to the victim's bedroom.

The victim said the suspects stole $500 in cash, his cell phone (valued at $700) and marijuana before running outside and into Atkinson's vehicle.

Interviewed Dec. 19, 2017, by a Tallahassee Police Department investigator, Atkinson, after waiving her rights to having an attorney present, admitted setting up the robbery, the court document said.

Atkinson said she set up the victim to get back at him for a past experience.

She identified the suspects who entered the victim's residence, naming Gagel and another man.

Atkinson told the investigator that during the robbery she searched the house for money and drugs and, in the victim's bedroom, found the box containing cash.

She said she and the two armed suspects split the proceeds from the stolen property.

The investigator recommended that Atkinson's cooperation be considered in the setting of her bond, saying that her testimony is "crucial to identifying key suspects in this case."
