Sunday was championship Sunday in the capitol city as the Babe Ruth North State tournaments came to a close.
The Tallahassee 15's ended the weekend in style as they defeated Melrose 3-1 to claim a state title.
The big bend found early runs off the bats of Will Brown and Hayden Kelley and behind solid pitching and stellar defense they were able to hold on in the final innings.
Cooper Smith started on the mound and was strong through four and two-thirds innings pitched. Austin Thorp closed the door and Tallahassee's dream of a world series title remain in tact.
Up next for Tallahassee, a trip to Orlando to compete in regionals.
