TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - National Signing Day is just around the corner and many of our local high school football stars are still looking to get noticed.

One way to do that? By competing in the War of the Border series. It's Florida versus Georgia, and bragging rights are on the line.

This week, Thomasville talent takes on Big Bend ballers, and Team Florida opened practice Monday night. It's a team with a lot of talent, and they are looking for one last good showing under Friday night lights.

"First off we want to win. We know this is an All-Star game, and everybody is going to play, but we are looking to win too," said head coach Tony Yeomans, who's also the coach at Franklin County. "For a lot of these guys, it may be their last football game, and this is a chance to impress the scouts that are going to be there."

Kickoff is set for 6:30 on Friday night from the Rose City at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
